Mrs. Marker is currently the director of the 7-12 music program for Deubrook Area Schools (White, SD). She conducts the Dolphin pep, marching & concert bands, chorus, and helps with with the 7-12 musical. She is a member of the South Dakota Bandmasters Association and has served for three years as the Orchestra Chair for the South Dakota Music Education Association. Mrs. Marker also writes the monthly newsletter for SDMEA.
During her summers she spends time catching up on Netflix, working with students at SDSU's All-State Music and String Camps, performing in the pit orchestra for Prairie Repertory Theater, playing golf, & enjoying time with family.
In college she spent two years as drum major for the esteemed Pride of the Dakotas marching band. While with the Pride she marched in the 2008 Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena, California, and played alto saxophone.
Mrs. Marker and her husband Kyle live in Brookings. Kyle is the Creative Arts Director & Worship Leader at GracePoint Wesleyan Church. They have one awesome son, AJ, who is thirteen months old.
